Boarding / Bathing / Daycare

In addition to medical, dental, and surgical care, Village Veterinary Hospital offers safe and secure boarding facilities with veterinary supervision and individualized attention from our staff of animal lovers. We want your pets to be healthy, happy, and comfortable when they board with us, so we treat them as if they were our own. If you live in Folsom, Covington, Loranger, Husser, Amite, or anywhere in between, and you need a safe space for your cuddly critters, come see us at Village Veterinary Hospital and we’ll take good care of them for you.

When you board with us, you can have peace of mind while you’re away knowing that your pets are safe and well cared for in a clean and secure veterinary-supervised facility. We maintain separate areas for our canine and feline friends to ensure a stress-free stay for all visitors.

Large and small dogs are accommodated with spacious indoor kennels complete with bedding. Dogs are walked three times a day so they can attend to business and have outdoor time in our play area.

Our feline friends stay in a quiet, non-stressful environment with big windows so that they can see outside and watch the birds. They receive individualized attention at least twice a day, and every feline lodger has a roomy kennel equipped with cozy beds, blankets, and litter boxes.

Both dog and cat quarters are furnished with TV programming that promotes mental stimulation, relaxation, and comfort. To make your pets feel more at home, beds, blankets, and toys from home are allowed, but they must be clearly marked.

We provide Purina Vet Diet EN to all boarding guests. Pet owners are allowed to bring food and treats from home, but they must be labelled and brought to us in original containers–no sandwich bags or pet food dispensers; special diets need to have feeding instructions included. Any medicine must also be brought in its original prescribed container. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each boarded pet, and our veterinarians will be alerted if any problems are noted.

All boarding guests must be parasite free and current on Rabies, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccines for their own protection and for the safety of other boarders and patients. If they are not current on these vaccinations, they can be brought up to date when they are brought in to board. We also offer bathing services for our bewhiskered boarders for an additional fee. Please let us know if you would like to schedule your pet’s bath when you make your boarding reservation.

We recommend booking a spot in advance since our boarding facility fills up very quickly, especially during holidays. Please call Village Veterinary Hospital today to reserve a boarding spot. We look forward to caring for your furry family member!

Daycare

Another convenient service that we offer at Village Veterinary Hospital is daycare. This can be for your kitten, cat, puppy, or dog that would like to come during the day while you are at work. Our hours to accept and discharge daycare participants are 7:30 am-6:00 pm. The daily rate is the same if your pet is here all day or only for a few hours.

Dogs/puppies are able to run and play in the yards, have naptime with essential oil aromatherapy and watch some of the most popular shows on television. Puppies have playtime with other puppies of the same age under close supervision. Cats are separated in their own quiet room with entertaining TV to watch and essential oil aromatherapy. For an additional fee, you may also request a bath or other services for your pet during their stay. Please call to request your daycare reservation.
