Surgery
Medical and surgical needs are a part of our lives as well as those of our furry friends. One of the most important parts of any veterinary hospital is the experience and skill of the veterinarian and their surgery area. Dr. McHughes Barr has practiced veterinary medicine for many years and has successfully performed thousands of surgeries during that time.
Village Veterinary Hospital is equipped with a surgical suite that enables us to perform surgical procedures from canine and feline spaying and neutering to general surgeries. To ensure your pet’s safety, we carefully screen each patient prior to each surgery so that we can check for any abnormalities or conditions that may be problematic. This also enables us to tailor anesthetics specifically for your pet. Additionally, we monitor vital signs throughout all stages of surgery and recovery.
Following surgery, our staff will keep your pet warm and comfortable with pain medicine and comfortable surroundings. When it is determined that your pet is stable enough to go home to recuperate, you will be given post-op instructions and a follow up appointment.
Village Veterinary Hospital provides surgical services for pets in Folsom, Franklinton, Robert, Angie, the Lee Road area, and beyond.
